Paakkola Online provides real-time updates on work progress to customers
The Paakkola Online reporting application, launched this year, is designed for real-time reporting during work, pre-inspection reporting of work sites, risk assessments, and as a planning tool. Additionally, a comprehensive report on the condition of the equipment and its surroundings is generated as a ”by-product” of the maintenance work.
”NewPaakkola employees update the current stage of work in the application, describing their observations and the maintenance work done with words and images. The reports display the location and geolocation data. The customer receives a link to follow the progress of the work live. After the work is completed, a PDF document is created and delivered to the customer along with other documentation,” explains Tapio Kolkkinen, who is in charge of maintenance at NewPaakkola.
The benefits to the customer are numerous. The customer can monitor remote work sites without being physically present, as long as they have an active internet connection. The information about the progress and current status of the work site is available in real time.
Based on the report, the customer can create or update their maintenance plan, as the user also notes any issues or deficiencies they observe that are not currently being addressed.
”We had been looking for a solution to simplify work reporting for some time. Last fall, we requested quotes from several service providers, and we selected the best one for our needs. Together, we began creating the document templates we required,” says Tapio Kolkkinen.
”Training sessions for the staff were held in mid-January, after which Paakkola Online was first implemented in maintenance, then in planning, and now in July, also for monitoring production at our workshop,” Kolkkinen concludes.
